A decongesting tonic that also aids in digestion ad supports immunity



Fire cider tastes just about the name sounds. It will burn through you, killing microbes, pathogens, energizing you, supporting your digestive system and boosting your immune system. This is a traditional and efficacious remedy that has been used for a long time to help with the cold and flu.



Ingredients

¼ fresh horseradish, grated

⅛ cup garlic chopped

½ cup onion chopped

¼ cup ginger grated

⅛ turmeric grated

Cayenne pepper to taste

Sprig of rosemary

Honey to taste (optional)

1 bottle apple cider vinegar with the mother

Instructions

  1. Put in your ingredients except honey and apple cider vinegar in a processor and process it until it is smoother and pastier.

    1. Caution with turmeric as it will stain your processor. You can add the chunks later.

  2. Once you have processed the items, transfer to a bowl and add the apple cider vinegar and honey

  3. Mix it and transfer to a mason jar or glass jar with a stainless steel lid

  4. Store in a cool dark cupboard

  5. Let it sit for 4 weeks

  6. Once it is ready, strain it and it is ready to drink!

    1. you can use the remaining pulp in food or dishes.

You can store it for months and months and you can consume a tablespoon everyday for support.


Ways to use it:

  • Drink a table spoon/ teaspoon everyday for support

  • Soak a clean cloth in Fire Cider to place on a congested chest.

  • Drink it straight or diluted in a bit of water or tomato juice. Start out with a tsp or so to test your tolerance level.

  • Mix with a bit of honey to ease a cough.

  • Rub it into sore muscles and aching joints.
